Erasmus+ Youth Exchange in Finland | 11–18 June 2026

At Somalische Kultur- und Integrationsverein e.V. (Germany), we were delighted to participate in the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange “Strengthening Digital Competences and Inclusive Practices in Youth Work,” held in the beautiful surroundings of Punkaharju, Finland.

The exchange brought together young people from different countries for an inspiring week of non-formal learning, digital skills development, creativity, inclusion, and intercultural exchange. Through interactive workshops, teamwork, digital content creation, discussions, and creative challenges, our participants gained new skills and confidence while learning from their international peers.

The programme also gave participants the opportunity to explore the beautiful nature of Punkaharju and visit Savonlinna, experiencing Finnish culture and creating lasting memories and friendships along the way.

We extend our sincere gratitude to MPNY ry for hosting and coordinating this wonderful Youth Exchange. A special thank you also goes to the entire team of Itä-Karjalan Kansanopisto (IKKO) for their warm hospitality and unwavering support throughout our stay. We are especially grateful to the Principal, teachers, restaurant staff, reception staff, and everyone behind the scenes who contributed to making our experience comfortable, enjoyable, and memorable.

We returned to Germany with new knowledge, international friendships, and fresh ideas that we look forward to sharing and applying in our local youth and community work.
