Youth Engagement

what we do in

Inspiring Participation and Strengthening Identity

The Youth Engagement Programme provides Somali youth in Germany and across Europe with platforms to learn, connect, and participate actively in society. Somali Culture and Integration e.V. recognizes the challenges faced by young people in the diaspora, including limited opportunities for civic engagement and barriers to integration. Through education, sports, culture, and political forums, the programme creates safe spaces for dialogue, encourages active citizenship, and builds confidence among young people to embrace their identity and contribute positively to their communities.

In addition to social and cultural initiatives, the programme fosters leadership and skills development that prepare youth for future opportunities. By linking young people with mentorship, vocational pathways, and intercultural exchange programmes, Somali Culture and Integration e.V. ensures that youth are empowered to navigate both their host societies and their cultural heritage with pride. This dual approach builds resilience, strengthens community cohesion, and nurtures the next generation of leaders.
