Climate Change Adaptation

what we do in

Building Resilience and Protecting Natural Resources

The Climate Change Adaptation Programme responds to the urgent need to safeguard communities and ecosystems from the impacts of climate variability and environmental degradation. Somali Culture and Integration e.V. supports vulnerable groups by promoting climate-smart livelihoods, sustainable resource management, and community-led conservation initiatives. By integrating awareness, training, and practical solutions, the programme empowers communities to adapt to environmental challenges while protecting their natural resources.

Interventions focus on sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, and environmental stewardship, ensuring that both immediate needs and long-term resilience are addressed. Farmers and pastoralists are trained in climate-smart techniques, while communities are mobilized to restore ecosystems and adopt clean energy solutions. These actions reduce vulnerability to climate shocks, improve food security, and promote responsible use of natural resources for future generations.
