Somalische Kultur- und Integrationsverein e.V. (Germany) was pleased to participate in the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange “Strengthening Digital Competences and Inclusive Practices in Youth Work,” held in Bitola, North Macedonia, from 1–8 February 2026.

The Youth Exchange was part of a broader Erasmus+ Accreditation project consisting of four mobility events organised in four different locations, providing young people with opportunities to learn, connect and develop their competences in an international environment.

In Bitola, young participants from different countries explored digital literacy, responsible use of technology, creative digital content, inclusion, diversity and active participation. Through non-formal learning methods, interactive workshops, teamwork, discussions and creative activities, participants developed their digital competences while learning how technology can be used positively and inclusively in their communities.

The exchange also created an important space for intercultural learning. Working and living together allowed young people to share their cultures, challenge stereotypes, develop communication skills and form new friendships across borders.

Our German participants also had the opportunity to explore Bitola and experience the culture and hospitality of North Macedonia, making the mobility both an educational and memorable international experience.

 We extend our sincere appreciation to the host organisation, facilitators, youth leaders, volunteers and all partner organisations whose cooperation and commitment contributed to the successful implementation of this Youth Exchange.

Through this Erasmus+ Accreditation journey, we continue creating opportunities for young people to become more digitally competent, inclusive, confident and actively engaged in their communities and in Europe.
